Neville Joinery Ltd is one year old!

April 4, 2016

It has been a busy and challenging first year since we separated from T&E Neville and became independent as Neville Joinery Ltd.

We also became a member of the British Woodworking Federation – having passed the assessment and signed up to their rigorous set of standards of workmanship, company stewardship and environmental disciplines.  Membership of the BWF is recognised as a mark of quality which will enable our clients to have increased confidence in our standards of service, manufacture and sourcing.

We have been busy developing the business.   We now have six Corian qualified fabricators and will be increasing our workforce with the recruitment of a Sales and Marketing Manager and a new Joinery Apprentice.

We’re also looking for a replacement for Paul Seeley, our Joinery Estimator, who retires in July after nearly twelve years with the company.

Having shown great aptitude, an existing member of staff Terry Hutchinson is moving onto our apprenticeship programme and Gary Collins our Works Supervisor is currently undertaking an NVQ6 in Management.

Mick Sheppard has completed some very difficult training for our new state of the art (but complicated!) CAD software which allows him the resource and ability to produce 3D drawings.

There has been investment in new machinery with the installation of a beam saw and new PC for the CNC machine - you will soon be able to see these in action on our website!

Completed projects for the year include:

  • A bar at The Shard in London which includes two curved counters, kitchen units, media walls and mirrored vanity units

  • Curved Corian counters for the SEI building in London

  • Learning walls for a school in London

  • Acoustic panels at Brighton Music School for R Durtnell & Sons.  Here’s the feedback from their site manager’s email to us:

“Please can you thank all at Neville's for your excellent work and help on the project.  Hopefully do some more together soon”.

Finally – a last word from Paul Seeley who describes the year as eventful but satisfying!
